I’ve been told that I can use my coffee grounds in the garden. Is this true? How should I apply them to the soil?
It is true that the plants in your garden will benefit from a little coffee now and again. However, it’s best to add them to your compost bin rather than working directly into the soil. Coffee grounds are too acidic to use alone, but when composted they work great. In fact, you can use them as a “green” material for your compost pile because they contain a lot of nitrogen too.
