There’s no shortage of things to do at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Even if you’ve been there several times, check out the list of programs that the museum offers for free. As part of its mission to educate, the museum offers year-round programming for all ages. Here are the three Crystal Bridges experiences we’re looking forward to this fall.
3 Free Crystal Bridges Events This Fall
1. Fall Forage Trail Experience – The forests around Crystal Brides are full of human-safe foods that you can forage, especially in the fall. During this experience, you’ll learn what is safe to eat and what isn’t. Take what you learn and apply it as your explore the forests around your home.
2. Discussion on the New Buckminster Fuller Fly’s Eye Dome – Renowned architecture preservationist Robert Rudin will discuss his reflections on the 50-foot fiberglass Fly’s Eye Dome, which he restored and is now installed at Crystal Bridges. R. Buckminster Fuller intended for his creation to provide economical, efficient housing.
3. Fourth Annual Short Film Festival – On November 8, Crystal Bridges will host its fourth short film festival. This year’s focus is on music videos. The film screenings will be followed by a discussion with local filmmakers.
