Who knew that going out to eat tacos could do so much good? Austin and Ashton Samuelson, owners of Tacos 4 Life, built a restaurant with the mission to help alleviate world hunger—one taco at a time.
Tacos 4 Life
For every meal sold in the restaurant, Tacos 4 Life donates the funds to purchase one meal for a starving child. This whole idea began when Austin and Ashton were living in Los Angeles. There they encountered extreme homelessness and poverty and felt called to do something about it. When they moved back to Arkansas, they began working on restaurant concept that a sustainable way to raise funds to feed hungry kids.
On top of that, they wanted to serve great food. It’s all made from scratch and served in a fast-casual environment.
Tacos 4 Life currently has four locations in Arkansas with two more scheduled to open this year. Since it opened in June 2014, Tacos 4 Life has donated 2.2 million meals to hungry children.
