The Best Spaghetti Squash for Container Gardens

I love pasta as much as the next person, but as fall approaches and I’m moving around less, I use lower carb substitutes. My go-to is spaghetti squash. I love the texture and the sweet flavor. I grow the ‘Tivoli’ variety at the farm.

Tivoli’ is a high-yield spaghetti squash that grows really well in containers. This variety is short-vines with a sturdy, upright habit. The plant will reach about 2 feet tall and may stretch up to 3 feet wide in containers.

Health Benefits of Spaghetti Squash

Spaghetti squash is great as a low-carb swap for pasta dishes. It has so many other benefits too. It’s packed with vitamins like A, C, B-6, and K, along with thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folate, and pantothenic acid.

This squash is also high in fiber, which helps in the prevention of cardiovascular disease and also contains manganese, which helps with bone and tissue health.
