The past couple of years, a big focus of mine has been creating a garden that supports our pollinators. Reviving the health of bees, butterflies, birds, and other species is so important to our planet, and even the smallest effort makes a difference.
As you may already know, First Community Bank joined with me to start the “Bloom with Us” project where we installed over 20 pollinator gardens in the bank’s locations across Arkansas and Missouri. These gardens are not only beneficial for pollinators but also beautiful for the members of the community.

Creating habitats for these threatened pollinators is critical! I’m so glad that we have businesses like First Community Bank making a difference and creating gardens that welcome the species that support life on this planet. I hope you are inspired to encourage others to do so as well.
Here are a few more stunning photos to enjoy from the First Community Bank locations across Arkansas.
I was honored to join First Community Bank’s groundbreaking ceremony at the site of their new Little Rock banking center at the southeast corner of Chenal Parkway and Rahling Road.
I loaded up my car with as many daffodils from the farm that would fit … bringing these cheerful flowers to give out and celebrate this exciting event for our community!
Here is a quick interview with René Julian, Community President/Little Rock at the ceremony.
“Breaking ground on this new banking facility signifies our commitment to, and investment in, the future of this community,” said Dale Cole, chairman and CEO of First Community Bank. “The financial center will create a significant presence in Little Rock and will provide our third location in the greater Little Rock area for clients to conduct business and interact with experienced community bankers.”
