It’s hard not to be mesmerized by James Hayes’ work. He is an Arkansas native who uses nature as inspiration for his blown glass art. We are honored to have him at Moss Mountain Farm this week for a lunch tour.
He owns and operates James Hayes Art Glass Company in Pine Bluff, AR. After receiving an art degree from Hendrix College in Conway, AR in 1988, he searched for a new medium to express his artistic talent. Three months later he discovered glassblowing at the Arkansas Arts Center Museum School. He has studied glassblowing in Murano, Italy; Columbus, Ohio; and the Pilchuck Glass School near Seattle, Washington. James has had numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and has been invited to design a Christmas tree ornament for the White House.
