Yarrow, Shasta daisy and purple coneflower are just a few of the perennials that will bloom a second time if you give them a haircut after the initial flowering. Take a look at the bloom stalk to determine where to make the cut. If the stalk is bare, cut it off at the base. If the stalk has leaves, cut it back to the first set of leaves.
