New Potatoes With Garlic And Nutmeg

I love potatoes and I'll eat them just about any way they are prepared. This is a simple recipe that I really like because it only takes a few ingredients and it will go with virtually anything.
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 lb. new potatoes
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- dash nutmeg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup chicken broth, hot
Instructions
I start by washing and rinsing about 3 1/2 pounds of potatoes. That's about 12 medium-size potatoes. Now I keep the skins on because I think it enhances the flavor. Then I cut them into 1/4 inch slices and place them in a bowl.
I prepare a simple marinade of 2 minced garlic cloves, a 1/3 of a cup of olive oil, a 1/2 a teaspoon of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of salt as well as a dash of nutmeg. Stir well and pour over the potatoes.
Once they are completely coated I placed the slices in a baking dish so that one overlaps the other and pour about 1/3 cup of hot chicken broth over them.
Now I will just tuck in a couple of bay leaves, cover this with foil and bake it for about 45 minutes at 350°F. Then I will uncover the dish, brown the potatoes for about 10 minutes longer.
