Crab And Corn Bisque
This creamy soup is easy to prepare and hearty enough for a main course. Corn, crab, onions sautéed in butter and a dash of hot sauce are the ingredients that make this recipe so delicious.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 4 cups corn kernels
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lb. lump crab meat
- 1/4 tsp. hot sauce
- chives for garnish
Instructions
Melt the butter in a large saucepan. Add the onions and sauté until soft.
Stir in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes.
Add the corn and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
Add the milk, cream, salt and pepper, and hot sauce.
Bring to a boil.
Add crab meat and heat through.
Serve hot garnished with chopped chives.
