Chopped Walnut And Almond Honey

This blend of toasted nuts and honey is so simple and delicious I wish I had discovered it years ago. The amount of ingredients you use depends on your taste. I like to make enough for a day or two, but this will keep in an airtight container for about one week.


Toast the walnuts and almonds in a heavy skillet until lightly golden and fragrant. Keep your eye on them while they are toasting because they will go from perfection to burnt very quickly.

Mix the toasted nuts in with the honey.

Serve on bread, biscuits, oatmeal; even drizzled over baked acorn squash. It is particularly good when mixed with a little softened butter and spread on toast.
